Hi! Welcome to the site. I'm not a mom myself but I've heard Saltine Crackers help with morning sickness, and someoe told me their morning sickenss kicked in at around 5 weeks, but I wouldn't know if it's normal or not. You can found out the sex of the baby usually between 16 and 20 weeks, but it can vary.

If you're one of those moms that get morning sickness (only about 50-65% do) it can onset between 3 and 6 weeks. It helps not to eat foods like eggs. For me, syrup and jelly made me queasy. I never actually threw-up, but I got a little nauseous. As for what you should eat, just think about the kinds of foods you want when you're sick.
You can have an ultrasound anytime after about 16 weeks and be able to tell the sex, but it's most accurate after 20 weeks. I'm currently pregnant 24 weeks with our 3rd baby and we just found out yesterday what the sex is. Most doctors will want to do a routine ultrasound within that time frame (16-24 weeks) to make sure the baby's growing ok and there's nothing wrong with the baby's heart or other organs anyways so it'll just be up to you if you want to find out or not. If you don't then go in the earliest they let you and if you do want to know then wait a little longer. Any time after 20 weeks is usually pretty accurate.

For morning sickness if it is really bad, go to your doctor and ask them for a prescription for maxalon. It was my best friend through three of my pregnancies

My morning sickness kicked in around week 8 and didn't let up until week 14, but it is normal for it to kick in earlier, too. Hopefully yours will let up sooner than mine did. Here's what I did!

1) Always carried hard candy with me. I liked lifesavers in fruit flavors, but peppermint candies or jolly ranchers did the trick, too. Sucking on the candy really helped keep the nausea down.
2) Always carried bubbly water with me. This helped also, and kept me hydrated.
3) Always had carb-y snacks with me, like crackers or bread. Keeping something in my stomach really helped.
4) I snacked all day instead of eating meals. If I ate too much I got sick.
5) I tried to keep myself cool. Being hot always made me feel sick. On hot days I would put wet rags in the freezer and then use them on my face, neck and under my armpits.

I hope you feel better, and good luck with your pregnancy and baby!
