Is it normal or am I just worried for nothing
By RoSaBeLLaLuNa 2 Years, 7 Months Ago
Most of the time I sleep fine sometimes too much
if I've had a busy day. The thing is that was
before I found out I was 5 weeks pregnant last Friday.

Is it normal because I went from sleeping a good night
sleep to only sleeping about 4 hours a night.

Just wondering if anyone else had something like it or
is it the pressure to tell the in laws. Telling my
parents wont be hard they would love the news. The
problem is that my hubby's mom still hasn't become
used to the idea that we are married.

Could it be that or is it just a pregnancy thing and
it will go away.

Prolly a little of both but wait til you tel the in laws and see how you sleep after that... As for his mum not being used to the idea you two are married... Well it's too late now so she better get over it LOL...
Try not to let that bother you cos if you and your hubby are happy then nothing else matters...
It could also be a psychological thing too, I know with my first I was fine til I found out I was pregnant and all of a sudden my body went into like a full on mum mode where I could here a pin drop and would wake easily whereas before I could have been raped in my sleep and never knew LOL....
Tell the inlaws first tho and see if that makes a difference... Good Luck and regardless of anything they have to say it is yours and your hubbys life and your happiness is more important than anything...
Thats my opinion anyways

I had insomnia during my first trimester, which is normal. Your hormones are going all crazy right now and sometimes it results in sleep loss. It could also be that you're worrying.

Try to focus on being excited that you're having a baby, and that your parents and hubby are excited, and don't focus on anyone who is being negative.
