Okay, when I had my ectopic pregnancy last year I was told to go straight to an OB if I got pregnant again and have them do an ultrasound. Well when I found out last week that I am pregnant again, the doctor I spoke to then said "Don't worry about it, if you aren't in any pain right now then it should be fine." And he sent me on my way, the RN at family medicine in the Naval Hospital told me the same thing, and schedule my first appointment for when I would be 6 weeks along, then said if I have any kind of pain at all to go straight to the er. Well, yesterday I was in really bad pain, so I went to the er (was stuck there for 7 hours none the less), they did an ultrasound, found the baby where it is supposed to be (thank heavens) but also found a cyst on my ovaries. They told me it was there to support the pregnancy.

Do any of you ladies have ovarian cysts and where you told they were there to support the pregnancy?

ive never heard of this before. the only time ive heard of cysts is by my friend who has them and has been told she could never have children.

Me personally no but my mom has had them through all 5 of her pregnancies and she has had perfect little babies. My best friend has them and it makes ovulation screwy for her but she can have perfect little babies too when she wants them. If the dr isn't worried than you will just drive yourself crazy worrying. That I do know personally.

I'm not sure what to say about them being there to support the pregnancy, but if that's what your Dr.s say then I'd believe them. I have cysts too and my Dr. told me I would probably have trouble getting pregnant, along with some friends who said the same thing, but I didn't and they haven't caused me any trouble yet.

I had a very large ovarian cyst burst on me in May the same month I conceived. It was very painful but the doctor said it would not affect my pregnancy. I have not had any trouble since.

Yea I get those alot, and have had them since I was like 14 the doctors said I'd have a hard time getting pregnant but i happened the very first time, and the baby was fine
