I'm not sure who wrote this now cause I've been reading all of the replys...but I'm pretty sure that Depo Provera is birthcontrol. Am I wrong?

I am a total baby/pregnancy junkie and I am always reading anything I can get my hands on... I was reading somethingsabout having a healthy baby and I ran across this link to some pregnacy/infertility experince and how she over came it. She (Lisa Olson) and her husband tried for 14 years and they finally cracked the mystery and then wrote a book to help others. This looks very convincing and I thought of this conversation as soon as started reading it. I hope this helps you all.

The Depo Provera shot stops you from ovulating completely though. So her doctor lied to her. I was on it for one year while I was in high school, it completely stopped my periods all together. It took me two years after getting off of it to start have cycles again. So I went three straight years with no period from 17-20, and two months after my periods started again, I got pregnant with my son. So Depo is birth control, but it is not used to regulate anything. I am thinking Aunt T's doctor just might be a wack-job. No offense if she likes the doctor, but they lied to her.

I looked it up online, it said that it stopps your period after a year of using it I'm not a doc...so I don't have the kind of knowledge to say T's doctor lied to her. That would be a huge mistake on her part...she could be sued.
