It is only natural that you are a little bit scared to give birth since you are not sure what to expect.
The best advice that I can give you is just to relax, the doctors and nurses are there if anything goes wrong.
If you are unable to push her out then the alternative would be to have a c section.
Don't stress yourself out.

I have had two kids myself, one by a c section and my second one a natural birth.

Good luck.

I was afraid of child birth too until about 35 weeks when I was so unconforable I didn't care any more. I just wanted it out! Child birth was painful but the second I saw her I forgot ever bit of it. And I did have complications, ended up having a C-section. But at the first sign of trouble, before I even hew what was going on I had 6 nurses in my room taking care of it. That is what they are their for. I also don't like needles, but I love that epaderal man and he can stick me with a needle any time he wants. You will be fine, your baby will be fine, and everything will work out.

Jackie-
You have a right to be FREAKING OUT!! It's scary!! I had panic attacks at night. I felt trapped. There was no way to get around childbirth and that was freaking me out!
I was so uncomfortable and thinking of all that could go wrong. After 9 months of reading everything that can go wrong, I expected the worse. For my first child people asked if I wanted a C-section or vaginal birth and I said "NEITHER!!!" I told everyone that would listen how scared I was, and they comforted me. My mom kept saying, "People have been doing it for centuries..."
I'm not an overly religious person, but that's what I did-I took SLOW DEEP CLEANSING BREATHS AND PRAYED from start to finish. And it helped!! When he was finally born, I cried and cried. I was so happy that he was safe and I was going to live afterall!! Good luck!! Ps: childbirth is easy compared to the first few weeks that your baby is home

I have given birth three times and when I was expecting my first I was soooooo scared of giving birth. I hope that what I have learned can help you to relax. I think the main source of me fears was always hearing women say "that was the worst pain of my life!" OMG, I thought, does it hurt worse than getting burned? Worse than a root canal? What I found out is that giving birth is very very hard work. It is more like climbing a mountain than it is like having your arm cut off. In early labor, the sensations are just mildly uncomfortable. I was surprised at how familiar that feeling was, very much like menstral cramps. As it progresses, they get more intense. You get tired. Have you ever exercised to the point where you felt like you couldn't do any more but you had to? That is what it's like, it's a "full body" experience and if your labor is long you will want it to be over much like running a race that is just too long for you. Before I ever gave birth I was more afraid of the pushing than the contractions. I had it backwards! Most people will tell you, the contractons are the hardest part. The good news is that you get breaks in between them, and for all three of mine just when I felt like I coudn't handle it anymore, I found out I was ready to push. All three times, I Loved the pushing part. I could push the pain away. I felt a mild burning sensation during crowning, but it was so quick and no biggie. My advice would be to listen to your body and get into a pushing position that feels right to you. God designed your body to give birth and you can trust it to do what it is supposed to do. Birth is all about surrendering to what is happening and relaxing. Best of luck and God bless!
