Trying to Concieve
By mommamai 2 Years, 5 Months Ago
My husband and I have been trying to concieve for 5 months, with no luck. Are there any ideas that you can give us. What am I doing wrong? How often should we be having sex? I feel like I've been trying everything, buts still no baby!

You could try an ovulation calendar. That's how I got prego first month we tried it!! My sister in-law showed it to me. There's one on BabyCenter.com

Have sex whenever you feel like it. How long have you been having sex? Feel free to pm me.

All I can say is have sex EVERY day, Don't think about trying to conceive and it will happen.... The least amount of thought going into the conception side of making love will be better.... The more you think about conceiving, the more you will get upset and stressed out when it doesn't happen.... Just put it outta your thoughts completely and let nature take its course.... I garantee it will happen faster that way

My doctor told me it takes most couples 6 months to get pregnant, and 85% are pregnant within a year. You can find out if you are ovulating by taking the ovulation predictor kit, but I got frustrated with that because sometimes it was hard to tell and I kept a temperature chart and could see when I was ovulating. Your temperature will rise about half a degree or more right after you ovulate and stay up until the day you start your period, when it drops again to what it was before you ovulate. You can probably get some charts from your doctor. But I would probably give it a couple of more months, and then try that. That way if there is some reason you need to see the doctor about getting pregnant, you can already know if you are ovulating or not and be one step ahead. Because I think that is the first thing they have you to do anyway. But maybe it will happen in the next month or so. Just try not to stress too much over it-I know that is hard, because it's hard to just not think about it when that's what you want. But try to relax. I don't think 5 months is anything to worry about.
