Hello, I'm new here, but I've been browsing for a few hours.
So. Here's a little information about me that could help you understand my concern.
I'm nineteen, go to college full time. I went home over the summer, and got together with my on-again off-again love of my life. lol.
But, during one of out off-again moments, I was intimate with a former love, and bang.
I think I'm pregnant.

I've got seriously sore breasts, I'm exhausted, and I am starting to be nauseous after I eat in the mornings, even if it's just a granola bar.
And I'm about... four days, maybe, from missing a period. But I stopped taking birth control (because I ran out) and haven't resumed, since I typically like to start taking it again on day one of my cycle.

I'm terrified. I don't know what to do.
And I could use some advice, please.

Hi This is my second pregancy and if it's only 4 days since your missed period then you would be at 4weeks wich is kind of early to feel sore boobs. Just do a test at home and see. Go see your dr and let him know your conserns. At the end of the day you will make the best desision for you and your family. If your not ready then your just not ready.

You're kind of misunderstanding me.
My last day of my last period was on 8 August. Had intercourse on 12 August. I'm usually a little irregular when it comes to my periods, so I'm guessing that if I don't get it in about four days, something is off. I probably should have clarified that initially. lol

Your period could be a little off because you stopped your birth control. I would a another week or so before you too worried, but you can always just get it over with & take a home test now. I think it's a little early for sore boobs but everyone is different. Also, if it's on your mind that you may be pregnant you could sub-consciously making yourself have the symptoms, ya know what I mean? I'm not saying that you are making it up or lying by any means. I just know that when I thought I was pregnant once I was convinced I was having pregnancy symptoms. Turns out I wasn't pregnant, I was just paranoid. lol. Good Luck. Hope this helped a little.

Oh, I'm definitely paranoid. lol. I'm completely freaking out. A friend of mine mentioned that I'm definitely not making it any better by stewing on it and thinking of all the things that would have to happen were it to be positivve.
I was thinking that it could be because I'd stopped my birth control...

I appreciate you taking the time to offer some advice.

I'm kinda like you where my periods are a little irregular normally without birth control. It would come every 5 weeks or so, give or take a few days. Before I had my first baby (I'm now on my third) my breasts would be a little sore before I started my period, which is how I could tell it was coming. When I got pregnant with my first my breasts started to get sore and it just got worse and then my period didn't come within a week like I thought it would, which is what made me think I might be pregnant. That and I started losing weight, but my pants were tight (I know that sounds really weird, but it's true).

Worrying about it isn't going to help you out at all so just take a home pregnancy test and get it over with. Since you think that you're still a few days off from when your period is supposed to come I would do one of two things; either find a test that says it's accurate up to 5 days before your period or wait a week and then take the test, or you could do both to insure the best result. If you do get a positive result then I would schedule an appointment with your doctor as soon as you can. You did say that your last period was the beginning of August, though, and it's now the end of September, so I would guess if you are pregnant that you'd be around 6 weeks along right now.
