Abortion or Adoption? (1 viewing) (1) Guest
Abortion or Adoption? By happy2bme 2 Years, 4 Months Ago For those who are thinking about this question, let me make a suggestion. There are countless couples out there who would do anything to be able to have their own children, but for whatever reason, are not able to. And I have been surprised also by the number of those who after having one child, are not ever able to conceive again for whatever reason. I am one of those. My husband and I have one son, we got pregnant so easy with him and now cannot get pregnant after trying for almost 2 years and 1 miscarriage. I never imagined this would happen-we were going to have 3 children 2 years apart; I just always thought if you could get pregnant and have one baby you would always be fertile. Not so. We would love for our son to have a brother or sister, but at this point are thinking he may be an only child unless we adopt. We, like most other couples who have never been able to conceive, would like to adopt a newborn, but chances are slim that you are able to do that because they are just not available. However, they would be more available if it weren't for so many abortions. So if you're thinking abortion, please, give your baby a chance to live and be adopted by those families who are wanting so bad to have children. They would give your baby a wonderful home.

Re:Abortion or Adoption? By sierrasmommy08 2 Years, 4 Months Ago I would have to totally agree with you.
if you get pregnant and for whatever reason dont want the baby then adoption is a far better idea then abortion. what I dont understand is why kill an unborn child when there are so many people out there that want to children but cant, also the child should not be punished for your actions; the baby did not ask to be put in this position. if you dont want to get pregnant dont have sex, it's that simple, but do not kill an unborn child cause you couldnt keep your legs closed. Sorry if this is offensive to some people but it just breaks my heart knowing that so many babies are murdered each year without even been given a chance at life. you never know, one of those babies that were aborted couuld have been the one person to find the cure for some kind of sickness that has no cure.

By SLM 2 Years, 4 Months Ago I agree, if the girl wants an open adoption so she can know about her baby periodically I go for that too. But never abortion unless it is a major risk for the mother's health.

By monkeys1315 2 Years, 4 Months Ago i agree that if you think you can't give your baby a good life adoption is always the best choice! but i also understand why someone would have an abortion unlike alot of people who could never imagine it! because i've been there and even thought i didnt even consider abortion or adoption for a second i kinda get why someone would

By leftAndGone 2 Years, 4 Months Ago I doubt there are women who are considering abortion, would search baby names and bump into this web site. But if there is, I would recommend adoption over abortion. However, if the pregnancy threatens the girl's health or is a result of incest rape, I definitely would not blame the girl for choosing abortion.
There are many reasons behind an abortion. Life is not the same everywhere. There is no one rule applies to everybody. By the way, I am not supporting abortion to be one easy birth control method, I am supporting females who want control over their bodies. There are also many living children who desperately need a happy home, more than the number of good families who are willing to take in an unrelated child. If you don't see the availability here in the U.S, you may look into other countries, especially the developing ones, where families can only afford one or even none of the kids to get education, children walk miles of mountain roads just to go to class every day, some kids lost their parents due to natural disasters, and babies born into environments with lack of resources, etc.
