Is this normal?
By Mandi86 1 Year, 11 Months Ago
Ok, so I'm 7 weeks now and being plagued with morning sickness and exhaustion. Actually, it's more like all-day sickness that doesn't really go away. And I'm constantly exhausted. Even though I sleep 8+ hours at night I end up taking 2 naps during the day. My dr. says this is normal but really?

It feels like I can't do anything anymore. My house is a wreck because I don't have the energy to clean it. My husband is doing the laundry and cleaning today and I feel like a failure of a wife because he has to do it on his day off after working hard all week. When will I get my energy back?? And when will I NOT feel like puking every 5 minutes??

I'm sorry to vent but I'm pretty much miserable right now. I don't know how much longer I can go on like this.

Its totally normal until the 12 week mark, then it gets a little unusual if you're still suffering from morning/all day sickness.

That sounds normal!!

I think in most cases this is supposed to go away, or atleast subside at 12 weeks.. but for me it was at 16 weeks

It should settle down definately before 20 weeks i'd say, but some people get morning sickness throughout the whole pregnancy, and some get none at all. The energy should return in the second trimester

Just keep relaxing and suck lots of icypoles! lol they helped me

Congratulations

I'm glad I'm not the only one! I love my justin, like you said I can't wait til my 2nd trimester. Hopefully, I'll leave this morning sickness behind me!

Thanks guys. I really appreciate your responses! It's good to know that there's a light at the end of the tunnel after all! Lol
