i lost my mucus plug almost a week ago and still no labor....i had a dr appt yesterday and my dr stripped my membranes but still no labor...im 39 weeks and if i dont go into labor by next week they are going to induce me and i really dont want that...does anybody have any suggestions on how to help with the stripping of membranes??

With my 2nd child the Dr. stripped my membranes 3 times and finally had me go into the hospital, and they gave me an enema and broke my water and it sent me into labor finally. Be patient, and be calm, you are very close now. If you have to be induced that too will be ok. With my 3rd child they induced me with pitocin. So I do know about induction, BUT it has been many years ago for me. Hang in there!

hi my daugter is 10 weeks old and i had my membranes stripped twice, the second time i was 40 weeks and 6 days. i had it done at 9 that morning and i had my daughter at 10:10 that night. hang in there they may do it again for you. it wont do any harm so i would ask for a second one. good luck x
