1st time pregnant and mom
By angel695000 5 Months, 2 Weeks Ago
hey all,
i dont know how to deal with these overwhelming feelings...
okie so im 19 years old and im scared to death. I have been pregnant once before but i was 16 and the father instantly started tellin me i was no good and that this baby was a bastard child. so i thought i could not bring a baby into that relationship so i got a abortion. it was the hardest more difficult decision i ever had to make. now im 19 and scared to death of everything that goes with pregnancy, my current boyfriend is much support emotionally or physically, he just keeps tellin me everything is my decision and it doesnt matter to him and he doesnt think i should be scared and blah blah blah, but then again Im scared of the birth, contractions, labour pains, after the baby is here and how i will do. I dont talk to my father all that much and my mother is not happy with my decision to have a baby at my age. I just need some advice or someone to talk me through this. Help me prepare for what im about to go through.
any advice is good advice.
Thanks

First of all it is good to have someone that supports you. When I had my first child I was more excited then scared, but it is natural to feel scared when you go into labor since it is unfamiliar territory. Every women is different how they handle pain. Take some child birth classes then you will know what your body will be going through.
With my first pregnancy the labor was hard but after I reached a certain point they gave me an epidural which helps relieve the pain. With my second pregnancy I did not feel any discomfort since my baby was pushing on the nerves in my back. I did not get any pain medication the second time so when he came out there was a lot of pain but it did not last for long. The outcome is still the same we go through pain to have our children but they are the best thing that comes out of all the pain we go through.
Keep in mind that the doctors and nurses are there to help you. There are there if anything goes wrong. I am not saying this to scare you just to put your mind at ease.
I think that you will do a fine job at raising your child. Have a little faith in yourself.
Perhaps your parents will come around, give it some time.
Please feel free to email me or add me to you contact list.

You've made a good choice by choosing life for your child. Even if you don't think you could keep the baby, there are always couples out there who want children and can't have them, so there's always adoption. You will make it just fine. When I had my baby, I was more excited than scared, too, but my husband and I took birth classes to learn all about labor and delivery, so I was not scared at all because I knew what was going on with my body. So reading up on it and taking classes can help you. Just remember labor and delivery is a natural thing, your body knows what to do. And there is pain relief. So you will make it just fine, and it will all be over before you know it.
