I don't think it matters what you do.

After having 3 boys I am finally expecting a girl. I have read everything there is to read and am convinced that it is all a bunch of bull. "Trying" to have a girl gave me three beautiful little boys that I could never live without. Giving up and being satisfied with what I have gave me our little surprise and amazingly enough it's a girl. Stop trying so hard.

for what i remember from one of my medical classes from college, the sex of a baby isnt indicated untill after conception. if i remember correctly the sex of a baby doesnt start to begin untill after the organs are developed..so about 14weeks? i could be wrong. but i remember specifically that sperm and egg's do not old the sex of your baby...
