How long should one's mentration last for after birth?

about 2 weeks, but everyone is different. Ask your doctor if you have any concerns or if your still bleeding past your 2 week check up. It should be bright red to start with and fade to yellow towards the end

Mine seemed to last forever, but my doctor wasn't concerned about it at my check up. It eventually stopped and then I was period free until just a few months ago. It's back.

With both of my children it lasted about 7-8 days (the doctor told me that is very rare and should last longer) but then I got my period about 3-4 weeks after it stopped. And mine never changed colors like stated above it was just like a period...dark red then fades into a brownish red at the end...but everyone is different. Good luck to me it was the worst part!!
