By iluvandy 3 Years, 9 Months Ago It's perfectly normal that your scared, I think every mother fears that at some point. But Trust me once you have the baby it will all come natural to you. You will have those motherly instincts and you will automatically know what to do in a situation. Don't spend this precious time you have being scared. Don't worry and cherrish this time! Good Luck to you!

Re:I'm Scared!!! By happy2bme 3 Years, 9 Months Ago Don't worry- I think it is normal for all first time mothers to feel scared or nervous at some point. My mother passed away when I was 8 years old and I have always thought about her alot; but when I was pregnant and since I had my son, I find myself thinking about her so much more. I remember things she did with us and how she was such a good mother to us (my 2 older brothers and younger sister). She was a stay-home mom, and that is one reason I chose to stay home with our son; because I remember how much it meant to us to have her at home. And I want to do the same for our children. At first I was nervous about being a good mother- but it will all come natural to you when you have the baby; if you are still feeling that way after the baby comes or feel depressed, let your doctor know, because like CariannD said, there could be a medical reason.
Don't worry about what people think about you quitting your job to stay home. It is the most important job that any woman can do; I wish all mothers could stay home with their children. There are alot of women who would love to be able to stay home but have to work, so you are one of the fortunate ones. Cherish every moment that you have with your child; your job will always be there, but your baby will grow up. And I can guarantee you that one day your child will appreciate what you have done. I can tell that you are going to be a wonderful mother!

By Tania 3 Years, 9 Months Ago I was terrified for my first pregnancy, since I was never very maternal, and never even changed a diaper! And at 18w5d they dropped another bomb, I was expecting twins! How was I going to care for two babies on my own all day, with no help? Well maternal instincts just kick in I swear and I love my girls to death. You'll get used to your roll as mom, it will just take a little time but eventually kick in after you see your baby.
I even decided I wanted another baby when they were 2, and lo and behold got pregnant right away with another set of twins, 2 more girls. I am very excited that they now have so many sisters close in age. Kaitlyn and Hannah are turning 5, and Abigael and Samantha are turning 2. Wondering if I will decide to have another baby and do this roller coaster ride again. I don't know yet.
