well im getting cut open and they will not allow more then one person in there and that person will be my hubby...but if i could i would love for my mom to be there also me and her r very tight....she was there with my older 2 she was all i had..

My daughter who had her baby a year ago June allowed myself and her husband. And my other daughter who is due in November wants her husband and me there too. Our hospital only allows 2 people in the room.

Just so all you know: Speaking as a Grandma that was in the delivery room to watch her Granddaughter come into the world. I stood right behind the doctor, over his right shoulder. And I was so fixed in on the little head, I honestly can't tell you I saw anything else. Really and truly. I watched as her little body slipped out and the cord was clipped and Joe cut it and I was taking pictures as she was warmed up. I didn't even see the placenta come out or anything. So don't panic if you want certain people in there with you and your afraid of what they will see. Because they won't be focusing on the private parts. It is such an awesome miracle!!

I'm not due until december but have been giving this some serious thought. The only person I want in there is my husband. We are stationed in georgia and our families live in PA so it's not like I'll have 1000 requests to have people in there. My mother wants to come down for the birth and stay for a few weeks. I'm having trouble telling her there is no way she's getting in that delivery room. She's too sensitive and I know how I am when I'm in pain. Once when I was 17 she wouldn't talk to me for a week after I had a migraine and got mad at her for not understainding why I didn't want to have a conversation with her at that very moment...... I guess it depends on your relationship with your family. I've always found it odd when people had their father's in the delivery room, but that's just me.

buttercup21 - You def sound like me. I stub my toe and my mom wanna ask me right at that moment am i ok i am in alot of pain do you think i'm ok lol! But i am due this saturday and i just have a feeling that i'm goin to just spazz out on her cuz ima be screaming in pain and she guna ask me if im ok lol!! I been thinkin about that alot lol! I told her too she just betta not say anything it might be better for all of us. when im in pain like that i dont wanna talk.

my mom is kind of...eccentric let's call it... i dont want her there for fear of her telling her birth stories the whole time, a 23.5 hour labour, a horrible induction, a baby with the cord wrapped around the neck(me), and a 10lb13oz baby that she was forced to have naturally. not exactly what ill be in the mood for.
