Good for you, but you are an exception to the rule. You have the love and support of your family. So many teans do not and their children suffer for it. If they all had a good work ethic, educational support and family to back them up, it would be not problem. Right now it is a problem, and one that needs to be worked on. Insted of just pointing out that not all teens do this, here on the net, go out into your community and help thoes that are headed in the wrong direction, set them on the right path. Good Luck!

I think the reason for her using the word "trendy" is because it seems that more and more teens are CHOOSING to become pregnant these days, and we are seeing more and more teenagers carrying babies around with them. And there are more who will tell you they want a baby. Look at the 17 girls in Mass. who all got pregnant-and all 16 years old or under. I have also talked to the lady at our crisis pregnancy center, and she has had teen girls to come in a get upset because they had a negative pregnancy test! She also said herself that you will notice a trend-when one girl gets pregnant, it won't be long till there's a circle of friends pregnant.

I am 17 years old and me and my partner have just found out i am expecting my first child. I know the opinion of teenage mothers is very varied - believe me i have had everything from ''congratulations''.. and ''your going to end up with nothing''..
I know having a child is a very hard thing, emotionally, physically and financially. But i also know it is the most amazing experience of anybodys life.
People are all full and ready to slate teenage mothers, but that does not make us bad mums. Their are mums older than us who abuse their children etc..
Just because we are younger does not make us any worse
People are entitled to their opinions, but no need to be so harsh about things..

WOW! well, I'm 19 and I'm pregnant with my second child,
( and happily excited ),i had my daughter when i was 15 and i AM a great mother . just because a girl is young doesn't mean that she is irresponsible. I do think that young girl should be more careful, However, motherhood is a great experience and i enjoy it everyday i love my daughter and the baby on the way.

i agree with ana ortiz me and my fiance' ashley who had her appendix removed last night have 2 lil girl but they r not mine she was raped but as soon as we get married i am adopting them and she is a great MOTHER
