The nausea is awful, please help.
By tiff_02 3 Months, 4 Weeks Ago
Hi everyone!

I am 6 weeks pregnant with my first baby. The nausea is really bad. It just isn't morning sickness, it is all day. I don't know what to do to make it better. I can't even keep anything down. I am practically miserable. I know that it is a temporary thing, but I still have 6 weeks to go. Please help!!!! Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

If you go to your doctor and you tell him that he will give you medication that is very safe for the baby and wont make you as sick.. i know that when you take those big prenatal pill they affect you system and you get sick. Also what you eat and how much is a big part of it.. Good luck..

Here is a couple of tips for you

1. Eat very small portions and eat throughout the day
2. Just sip your water and try to get plenty of water througout the day as well
3. try crackers sometimes that helps as well
4. Drink gatorade or powerade to help build your electrolites back up
5. Go to the doctor and they will prescribe a medication for you
6. If you are unable to get into the doctor right away then try childrens gravol.

Hope this helps.

You should definitely go see your doctor. The meds will really help, and you will be able to keep food and liquids down which is important for you and the babies health. Also, be prepared, it doesn't always disappear at 12 weeks. I am 17 weeks and still have nausea on and off all day, but I never threw up in my pregnancy. However, the medicine helps me to be able to eat and gain weight. Good luck and hang in there.

See your doctor but also try peppermint gum or hard candies, peppermint tea, ginger ale, crackers, and small frequent light meals. Preggie pops helped me a ton you can get them at babies r us or a maternity store....hope this helps.
