Just wondering how many of you have twins? Do twins run in your family? They run in mine but only with a great uncle on mom's side and twin third cousins on dad's side.

I dont have twins but they run in both mine and my husbands family

I have twins on both sides of my family. My father is a fraternal twin. My cousin from my mother's side of the family had fraternal twins two years ago. I am 8 months pregnant with identical twin girls. Identical twins don't run in families though. Everyone has the same chance of conceiving identical twins. Fraternal twins on the other hand do run in families, this is because your hormones determine if you will ovulate two eggs at once or not.

Twins do not run in my family. About 80 years ago my Grandma was having twins, only the girl survived.
My daughter got pregnant with twins twice, each time losing one in the first few weeks and then carrying their twin to full term after having a circlage. It happened so early she did not even know she was having twins each time.

My mother in law is a twin, and my sister in law had twin as well as my husband's cousin.
