Does anyone feel broody?? (1 viewing) (1) Guest
Does anyone feel broody?? By Proud_Mummy 1 Year, 7 Months Ago So here i am again, i think i posted something along the same lines a few mths ago- but anyways i'l say it again..
Do anyone else feel broody when they have friends who are expecting? I have 5 friends who are pregnant & all due within weeks of each other & 2 trying, I really cant help feeling broody! I have a 16mth old daughter, me & my husband said we would like to try again end of next year. I know having another now wouldnt be ideal as ive just started a new job, so we would like to enjoy the money first & enjoy time together just the 3 of us but i cant help thinking i'd like another soon- if that makes sense. I think im just feeling this way because me & my friends are all close so im here to share their experience. I would just like someone to tell me their in the same boat or know how im feeling, just so i know im not weird- haha! Last Edit: 2008/08/07 15:12 By Proud_Mummy.
Reason: spelling.

Re:Does anyone feel broody?? By Granny Nora 1 Year, 7 Months Ago I always felt that way back when I was having children, and I also felt bad sometimes because a good friend had trouble getting pregnant, and also my brother in law was diagnosed as being sterile while we were pregnant with our third child. It is hard, you probably loved being pregnant and want to feel that way again. Don't rush it, it will happen if it is meant to be. Talk to your husband about your true feelings. It will surely help!!!

Re:Does anyone feel broody?? By NovemberTopaz 1 Year, 7 Months Ago I think it is a natural feeling to get when others around you are having babies, especially at the same time. Same thing occurs with multiple weddings when one is not yet married.
In fact I heard once that when a woman sees a baby smile it triggers something in our brain ...makes us broody as you put it, I guess. I can imagine that being surrounded by others about to have babies or get married can have a similar effect. If nothing else, it makes one think about it. I remember a couple years ago when my sister was preggers and a couple of friends became engaged or pregnant around the same time and I could not help but think about my own future family. It is a natural thing to do... especially while you feel your family plans are not yet completed. Though, just because others are having babies now does not mean you have too at the same time.

Re:Does anyone feel broody?? By iluvandy 1 Year, 7 Months Ago Hey Proud_Mummy!!!!! Yes I'm feeling the same way you are! My sister in law is about to have her baby boy anytime this week and I just know its going to give me baby blues again! Especially when we go to the hospital and see him! Remember I told you my cousin just had one back in Febuary and that just ruined it for me! Ever since my husband and I are talking about one we just have to wait until I find a good job so I can support one the way I want too. But if you are ready to have one then by all means try! You are the only one who can decide what is best for you, "well your hubby too!"

Re:Does anyone feel broody?? By Proud_Mummy 1 Year, 7 Months Ago Thanks for the replys, i have recieved some good comments from you all.
Granny Nora & Genevra- My husband would love to try for another baby now- if i would let him lol- its me who has decided to wait until next year, as i want a holiday & stuff first. So he has agreed to wait but still asks all the time if ive changed my mind yet. Which doesnt help when your feeling broody! I think my job doesnt help either, as i work in a day nursery & i am around babies all day and see alot of pregnant mum's come & go You are right Granny Nora- i did love being pregnant & didnt want it to end, so i think that plays a big part too! Im a great believer in 'everything happens for a reason' and i dont want to rush into anything either as im only planning on having two more children.. so dont want to use all my babies up just yet- hehe!
