Re:Trying for baby #2-it's not happening! (1 viewing) (1) Guest
Trying for baby #2-it's not happening! By happy2bme 3 Months, 2 Weeks Ago Okay, my husband and I have been trying for baby #2 since about December. In March I had a + test and then started 3 days late, so I am sure that was a very early miscarriage. It has been 5 times since then, I was hoping I would be able to take a test tomorrow and find out, but I started my period awhile ago. I had been cramping on and off since over the weekend, but I know you can cramp and still be pregnant, so I still had my hopes up until I went to the bathroom awhile ago. Anyway, I have been to the doctor and have been using the temperature chart and the ovulation predictor kit for the past 2 months, and I am definitely ovulating and we are trying all around the time we are supposed to. So if I am ovulating and my husband has a normal sperm count, why would I not be getting pregnant?

By T 3 Months, 2 Weeks Ago I am in a similar situation. I have been trying to get pregnant with my first since 2006. I have irregular periods. I saw my doctor last week and she did blood work and an ultrasound for what she thought was PCOS. The ultrasound came back normal and didn't show typical polycystic ovaries. So she did blood work which she felt would show that I had PCOS. However, the nurse told me Monday that my blood work was normal. My doctor had started me on Glucophage earlier to regulate my periods. It's so frustrating. If I don't have PCOS what is causing my irregular periods and why can't I get pregnant? My husband has never been tested to see if maybe it's him.
Are you under stress? Do you have irregular periods? I heard that stress can make getting pregnant difficult. Anyway, I hope all goes well and you have a beautiful healthy baby.

Re:Trying for baby #2-it's not happening! By happy2bme 3 Months, 2 Weeks Ago I don't feel like I am under as much stress as I was several months ago. My husband, I feel, has been under stress because his grandmother, who was practically his mom, passed away in November and then his father who he was close to, passed away in February. So we have both been through the stress of that, and I was hoping to be pregnant before my father-in-law passed away (he had cancer) but it didn't happen. And then in March I had a + test and was so happy, but then I started bleeding 3 days later and had my period. And since then, we've just been trying with no results. I have been to the doctor, and he put me on Zoloft for irritability, crying spells and being tired, and I have felt so much better since then (about a month ago) and I had my husband to get himself seen about, too, because he didn't realize it but he was being irritable and snappy at home, and he just seemed different to me, so he thought it could be subconsciously from loosing his grandmother and father and dealing with that. Do you think stress could lower his sperm count? I had wondered that. He is trying the Zoloft now, so I hope it will help him get back to being himself again after all that's happened.

By T 3 Months, 2 Weeks Ago I had read that stress may interfere with the hormone GnRH and reduce a man's sperm count.

Re:Trying for baby #2-it's not happening! By happy2bme 3 Months, 2 Weeks Ago Well, I have a doctor's appointment Oct. 21 if I am not pregnant by then. My doctor was thinking I could possibly have endometriosis because I have cramps in my back and sides, but they are not severe cramps, so I don't know. But by Oct. if I'm not pregnant, I may be having the laproscopic surgery to see if there is anything wrong, and at the same time my husband is going to be checked. I just hope that if there is something wrong it can be fixed. Because we would really like to have at least 2 more children. Do you know anyone that has had that surgery before?
