Has anyone here been through an ectopic pregnancy befor? if so how long did you wait to concieve? and how long did it take for you to concieve when you started to try? I have also noticed on a few sites that there seams to be a trend of twins after ectopics..

You know, we could give you answers, but the very best information you get will be from your Doctor. It will be his or her advice you need to listen to as when it is safe for you to become pregnant again.
As for statistics regarding twins after an ectopic, I can only tell you that my daughter became pregnant with twins twice after an ectopic pregnancy.I have no idea if it had anythng to do with that atall. But, in my daughters case, she has what is called an incompetant uterus and so with both sets of twins she lost one in the first few weeks of pregnancy. Then they performed a circlage to keep the babes inside till they were ready to be born. She had to have that done 4 times.

I have had the go ahead from my doc. I was just told by a few people that there docs. said they should wait 2 to 3 months and mine just said that I needed to wait till my hcg levels went to zero and I had my first period after the methotrexate shot and both have been compleated. I was just wondering what others have been told, how long they did realy wait and how long it took to concieve. I have seen so much good advice on this site and a ton of support come from all the wonderful woman on here I thought I would ask to see what you all had to say about the subject. Thank you!
