Looking for a unique gift to give my husband on the day we deliver. I have one child from a previous marriage, but this is his first. I've been through this and know what to expect, but I want to make this special for him because this is the only time it will be his first. Any suggestions??

I had a T-shirt made up for my son-in-law for the birth of his 1st baby. It said saomething like, I am Matthew Paul's daddy! Or something to that effect. Maybe some of the vital stat's..it has been over 15 years so i don't remember, but he was very proud and wore it often.
My next son-in-law got a sweatshirt with a picture of him and the new born printed on it. it said "Bubba and Daddy". (his nn for the babe)

If he is religious, a book on being a father, or something with the child's name (if you know ahead of time)on it.
You are very kind...I had 4 kids and never thought to get my hubby anything. Yikes!

Does he have a favorite sports team or hobby? You could get an item for the baby, but have it be something he would think was really cool, like a tiny sports jersey of his favorite team.

My husband is a math teacher and an artist, and we're trying to get pregnant. When i do get pregnant, I was thinking about telling him i'm pregnant by giving him a present, and when he unwraps it it will be a baby item that has to do with art or math.

You could also get him one of those digital picture frames so that he can load it with pics of the baby as soon as the baby is born, and have it on his desk or wherever.

I agree with the other post, if your husband has a favorite sports team or hobby- get a t.shirt or baby vest personalisted with 'The new..(surname)' or 'As cute as my daddy'. Im sure if you did your research on it you would find a really cute slogon that would be perfect for him.

My mother in law got my husband a pair of cartoon boxer shorts that said "Mr. New Dad" on them. No idea where she got them but it was a cute idea.
