I am 9 weeks pregnant and I woke up the other morning with a cold sore..
I was wondering if any one knew how i could make this go aways while not hurting the baby
and on that note will it hurt the baby just having it!
I know what a cold sore is but i am not sure about the cold sore and pregnancy things
please give me your thoughts

i know that you have to be really careful with kissing the baby as they are very catchy. they have all kinds of warnings about that when you first bring the baby home.

as far as medicine i would suggest asking your DR what is safe to use sorry i couldn't be more helpful

Emu oil... I know for city people this sounds disgusting and it might be hard to find but its an oil that you get from Emu's helps with cold sors, concour sors and bee stings. I always have a bottle of it in our cupboards. Used it when I was pregnant.

plain old ice........
i have been getting cold sores since i was a kid , induced by stress, too much sun or poor diet, its actually something in ur blood that triggers the reaction...
so if u apply ice as soon as u start to feel the tingle on ur lip or wherever it is, or start to see blisters, then it should either go away completely or greatly minimise the break out.. ((try to avoid the ice if the skin has already broken))
