Wow, i haven't been on for a while and just wanted to let everyone know how Little Emeri Skye and Miss Saelor are doing..
Emeri is doing a lot better, she doesn't have her nights and days mixed up any more, and Saelor is over the jealousy thing, thank goodness.
We've been attempting to potty train Saelor, but its not working out to well. She doesn't seem to be taking to what we have been teaching her.. Not sure why, but i guess she'll go on the big girl potty when she is ready..
Emeri is adjusting really well to home life.
as are we adjusting to having her around,
She is such a joy and fits in perfectly with our growing family.

We do plan to have more, but going to wait until Em is 2 or three.
Maybe we will get a boy, but i think we are destined to have al girls
and thats fine with me

Congratulations!!!!!

As far as the jealousy goes, try to involve her when you are doing things with the baby. I put a couple of diapers and a travel container of wipes and powder in a small basket when my second daughter came along (oldest daughter was 19 months old at the time). When it came time to change the baby, my oldest got involved by getting mommy the changing basket (it was just her size to carry and had everything I needed). It made her feel like a big girl to help mamma with the baby. You could do the same thing with the bath supplied (just get the travel size for her basket).

And as far as the potty training goes, she may be refusing right now because of the new baby. Our pediatrician told us not to even try to break oldest from the pacifier until she was settled with the new baby. She needed it for security. Too much change at once can overwelm them.

Again, congrats on the new addition. And good luck. One is great, but 2 are a blast (especially when they are both old enough to interact).

Congratulations! I am so glad that things are settling down. It always took my kids a good month to get over having a new addition to the family. It just takes patience!!! Wait a couple of months on the potty training - too much for her too soon! Take Care! Granny Nora
