Does anyone know any baby games for a baby shower that would involve a large group of guests? Suppose the shower was to take place in a backyard (nature theme)?

I have heard of a few, 1. Measure baby moms big belly and have a contest to see who is the closest. 2. Have everyone address their thank you envelope and have someone draw to give the winner a gift. 3. Put baby supplies on the tray and have someone walk it around for everyone to see and then make it leave the area, have everyone write the items down and see who has the most right. Or you can fool the guest into thinking that they need to remember everything on the tray, but really they will have to describe what the babys mom is wearing (she has to have left the area) For instance, was she wearing a necklace?, Earrings? Hoop or posts. What color shirt etc. etc. One shower I went to they passed a roll of toliet paper around and we had to take as much as we thought would make around the babys mom's belly. When she measured and counted the little square we found out who won.

My daughter is having a couples shower in Sept. We are having a western theme. Out side and in the large garage. We are having an authenic Texan BBQ, I know someone who is going to cater. So we will be decorating with red checked table clothes and cowboy stuff! We are planning on buying a Edible Bouquet of fruit as one of the door prizes, I thought someone would really like it. We haven't really decided how we are going to invite the Dad's single friends, maybe by telling them to come for a meal and bring a bag of diapers or whipes!! Hope that helps.

My shower that I was at we had to sample several different baby foods and then write down what we thought they were.
Another idea was to get a doll that has a diaper and clothes and use oven mitt and time each guest to see who can dress the baby the quickest.
Another idea was to make up a "BINGO" game board and each person has to write a baby item like wipes, diaper, booties, hat or something in each square.
One idea but it is not for a game is each person write down the best parenting advice and all of these ideas were then put into a book.
Another was each person brought a favorite childhood book and they share why the book was so memorable to them.

At my babyshower we had some great games and things that I had never seen before. My aunt had planned my shower so I had no idea of any of the games or anything that would take place before because I was supprised. Here are some great ideas that are not games but some that are...
My aunt who planned the shower had several envelopes with a peice of writting paper in it and on the envelopes you number them 1 from 18 and could and should duplicate the numbers (to make sure this isnt confusing for everyone make sure one envelope only has one number on it not multiple numbers on one envelope.) And as everyone comes in they take a envelope and afterthe shower started and everyone was seated we were explained that these envelopes were to be the babys birthday card for whatever number you had so if you had a card with the number 5 you were to write a birthday message for the baby for his or her fith birthday. I thought this was a awesome idea and was so glad that she thought of this for my shower. my son is now 13 months so when he had his first birthday I read them to him which was very neat to me!(also mom do not read the cards till the actual birthday it is more fun this way!)
another one is in the invation everyone was asked to bring a book so I could read to my new baby (since books are pretty expensive) and that I was being suprised on a new book shelf so was asked not to tell me about the book.
and a game that I came up with which I think is cute and funny is melt some chocolate bars in diapers (you can do this by putting them in the microwave for a few seconds) and it will look like poop! and everyone has to fiqure out what kind of chocolate bar it is and the person who has the most correct is the winner. well I hope you like my ideas I have many more that I would like to tell but then I would be on here all day and my 13 month old is getting agitated so good luck

This is good for fun showers and a mom-to-be with a good sense of humor...

As she is opening the gifts, have someone write down her reactions to them. (examples: "Oh, it's so tiny...Look, there are two of them...I like it but I'm not really sure what to do with it..."When the gift opening is over explain what you have been writing and that you will read aloud the ones she said to her husband on the night the little one was conceived. It is usually hysterical!
