Is it too soon?
By mommy2be123 3 Months, 2 Weeks Ago
Hi everyone i don't know if if anyone is familiar with dorney park and wildwater kingdom but its amusement park and waterpark. Well i have a 1 month old. Does anyone think its too soon to take him there? Does anyone have any suggestion on how else i can protect him from the sun besides-sunscreen,stroller,towels,and a tshirt?? Do you think its too soon to take him in the water?? This place is pretty clean for a amusement park. I just would like to know what peoples opinions are on this. I know i've seen babys smaller than mine there before or even in a public pool. My doctor said to just make sure he's hydrated and protected from the sun. Ok well can't wait to read my responses.

I also think it's a bit early, i think he's a bit young. At that age he probably wouldn't have all that much enjoyment. At these kind of places kids get very excited and hyperactive, i think a pool or something calmer and quieter would be better suited for a baby so young. I agree next summer would be better, he'd also get more enjoyment out of it when he was older and understood better.

I, too, think he's too young. I think he would enjoy it next summer. I might could understand if you were going with other people with other small children, but if it were just you, your husband and baby, I don't think you would enjoy it as much as you would next year.

I love Dorney Park. My friend and I were just there yesterday. Well since I'm pregnant we were there for Wildwater Kingdom and I spent the day in the lazy river lol!! It was sooo much fun. I did see a ton of little babies. Each one I saw seemed so uncomfortable in the heat. And that just made the parents miserable. They do have the kids cove and areas like that but it would be so much more enjoyable for your baby when they can walk. I mean at this age if your goal is just to get your baby in the water you might as well just fill up a baby pool in your backyard and see how that goes. It would be a lot less timely and definitely more cost efficient. Good luck with whatever you do!

you are not supposed to put sunscreen on a baby under 6 months old. the best thing to do is to keep them out of direct sunlight. i would reccomend to wait until next year just to be safe.
