unique name combos
By pgagain 2 Months, 4 Weeks Ago
What do you think of name combinations that when put together have a meaning? such as:

Wynter Rose
Autumn Breeze
Stormy Skye
Fisher Rod
Hunter Blayde
Forrest Blayze
Tanner Suede

Or first and middle that when combined make a different word

Hope Leslie = Hopelessly
Heaven Leigh = Heavenly

My kids were always told they looked so much like their father that they were hopelessly a (insert last name). That I considered naming one that.

i liked most of your suggestions.
I have thought about the same thing (wynter skye,or something along those lines).

Wynter Rose - gorgeous, love it heaps
Autumn Breeze -cute
Stormy Skye - love it
Fisher Rod - hate it. (he's gonna be known as fishing rod, and that seems cruel)
Hunter Blayde - interesting
Forrest Blayze - sweet
Tanner Suede - not to keep on suede personally

also, heaven leigh is cute, but hope leslie just seems like its gonna be picked on because it'll be known as 'hopeles' instead.

But i guess it depends on if you register your kids at school with their first and middle names or not

Wynter Rose: Pretty
Autumn Breeze: Like
Stormy Skye: PLEASE don't name your kid Stormy
Fisher Rod: So cruel
Hunter Blayde: What about Hunter Blake?
Forrest Blayze: NO
Tanner Suede: NO
Hope Leslie = Hopelessly: What about Leslie Hope?
Heaven Leigh = Heavenly: I prefer Nevaeh Leigh

You know, you don't have to name your kids words/descriptions for them to have unique names. My faves are:

Wynter Rose
Autumn Breeze (Actually really like Breeze)

I actually like Autumn Breeze the best, it's so feminine, and Breeze is really refreshing sounding.

Wynter Rose--very pretty

Autumn Breeze--Lovely

Stormy Skye--Kind of cute..There is a man on TV named Storme, pronounced stormy

Fisher Rod--Not at all
Hunter Blayde--No
Forrest Blayze--No
Tanner Suede--No

actually I liked all the first names, just not the combos

Or first and middle that when combined make a different word

Hope Leslie = Hopelessly--no, sounds like hopeless

Heaven Leigh = Heavenly--lovely

Wynter Rose- cute but I think it'd be cuter Winter
Autumn Breeze- mmmm no but I love the name Autmn
Stormy Skye- The name Stormy sounds so fantasy
Fisher Rod - no
Hunter Blayde - this is kind of violent, I'm against hunting so maybe my opionon is really bias but its sounds so harsh and violent
Forrest Blayze - this is cuter
Tanner Suede - no

Please remember that you're naming a person. As a child in school, a name that's a pun or a play on words is an invitation to being made fun of, so you're setting him/her up with something to live with and live down for about 12 years or more.

As an adult, if your child chooses to go into a serious profession, such names aren't much better. Ask yourself whether the name combo you're taken with right now would sound more like an attorney or a porn star about 25 years from now.

If a particular name combo has huge significance for your family, that's one thing, but don't hang a "cute" name on him/her otherwise. You don't want your child spending his/her 18th birthday in court petitioning for a name change.

Just my 2 cents' worth, having worked in a school system at one time and seeing what those kids go through starting at an earlier age than you'd like to think.
