haha its alright Justins1favmom its really wierd coz while its late over in the US its only 5:30 down here in Aus. back to the topic, i think that you should circumcize but ive had no experience with the matter (have no sons) but i would probably do what the father has done because otherwise he (the son) will ask why he is different to daddy. i would probably get it done though. i dont know though, its up to you.

Not every boy has to be circumcised but as a nurse my suggestion to you would be to cicumcise your child the day after he is born that way it will not hurt as bad because his feeling is not all there yet and secondly a male with an uncircumcised penis is at an increased risk for penial cancer at a later age in life.

i have a 16 month old and he was not circumcised. my sister's boy was not circumcised and my mother did not circumcise any of her boys and i've never heard any stories of anyone growing up and having problems because they weren't circumcised. and the whole idea of it being a hygiene matter is a myth. so don't circumcise your son, plus if you read the bible, jesus himself said it was not necessary. and that's how God made man so why would you want to change it.

I don't think its a necessary proceedure.
There is absolutely no proof that circumcision helps prevent STD's. That is actually just a total myth. Condoms and abstinence are the only two things which are going to help against STD's and AIDS.

Additionally (this is some stats which i found while researching this topic), in america approx. 60% of boys are circumcised.

Its very uncommon in both europe and asia.
In Australia only 10-20% of boys still get circumcised, mostly because it is still being done for religious reasons (jewish and muslim cultures dictate it be done. this is greatly because 'back in the day' hygiene was much slacker than it is now, and it was much more hygenic than not.- this is no longer the case, as people do wash more than once a month)
In australia it is no longer a proceedure that you can get done after birth at a public hospital (at least in some states). And you would have to go to a private hospital.

So personally, i am incredibly against it. I don't think its necessary, and it shouldn't be done unless its medically necessary. personally i don't even think it should be done just because someone identifies as a certain faith, but i am more tolerant of it in that case.
Looking like daddy is (in my opinion) the worst reason ever!
Do we give children cosmetic surgery so that their nose looks like daddys?

Also, do you routinly show your son daddy's penis?

(i'm not attacking anyone. they are simply generalised questions or statements, which i think parents should ask themselves. i'm not looking for an argument .)
