Soothers
By TristenH 1 Year, 1 Month Ago
Hi, I was just wondering what everyones opinion is about soothers. Some websites say you should use one, but Baby's Best Chance says not to use one. My baby has been awesome so far, so I haven't had to use one yet.

If it's not broke dont fix it. If he hasnt needed one than dont even swet the details. Just go with whats worked so far.

Hi, i agree, but in saying that, my 2 year old has one and its ok so far. but my youngest sister is 6 years old and she still has one, we have been trying to get it off her for years. I would just take it off her if she was my child but my mam is to soft for her own good!
Dont be afraid to use one if you really had to but just make sure you take it off them before they start school.

i abhor pacifiers, dummies, soothers whatever u call them, they are unhygenic ((has anyone ever cut one open after a baby has had it for a couple of weeks? do that and u will never use them again))
they create tooth problems like early decay & growing crooked or bucked..
they are totally unnecessary, if u dont give ur baby one in the 1st place, they wont even miss it...
its also lazy, instead of giving ur baby a cuddle or pat on the bum to soothe them, u shove a foreign objet in their mouth..

but thats just my opinion..

Thank-you for your replies. I am personally against soothers as well. I was just confused because everyone kept telling me I should use one. I think it creates a stronger mother baby bond if your the one to soothe them .
