DOUBLE PRAMS V BUGGY BOARD?? (1 viewing) (1) Guest
DOUBLE PRAMS V BUGGY BOARD??
By Proud_Mummy 2 Years, 8 Months Ago
I am nearly 4mths pregnant with my second child, i already have a 2yr old daughter. She will be 2 yrs/7mths when baby arrives!

I have been thinking alot about prams and what kind of pram to get for when the new baby arrives. I were thinking of getting a buggy board for my daughter to use but then i got thinking about a double pram- because sometimes my daughter likes a nap during the day. So im torn between the two, i cant decide which one will be best in the long run?
I really like the idea of a buggy board so my daughter has the choice weather or not to walk, but then i dont fancy chasing her around the shops if she decides one day to run off. It is always much easier to put them in a pram when you need to get things done e.g shopping. But the on the other hand i dont want my daughter to become lazy and go back on herself and always ask to go into her pram instead of walking places?

So i would really like to hear from anyone who has been in this situation before, what did you do?.. Any ideas or views on what i should do??
Thanks in advance! x

err i dont really know much but in my family there was a fw kids close in age so what mum did with my older brother and sister was buy a cheap second hand one so if he wanted to ride in the pram he could n there was room for baby she got a single pram too but a better new one as she knew my brother would soon be able to walk for longer n stuff.

but with me and my twin brother mum got a double pram n the others had to walk

I have a 4 year old, a 2 year old and am 19 weeks pregnant... I have a valco runabout pram with a toddler seat and I also have a brollie mate which is like a little bike seat with foot rests that attach to the pram... My 2 year old sits in the pram while my four year old walks next to me... I use a harness for my four year old which I just clip to my jeans and he is fantastic with it and he doesn't look like I am walking a dog either... When the new baby arrives my 2 year old will go into the toddler seat whilst the baby has the pram...
When the kiddies are able to they will let you know what suits them best whether it be walking or sitting in the pram... Buying a double pram will limit you in what stores you will be able to enter and as the children grow it will become more difficult to manouvre... I went through numerous twin prams side by side and front to back and I have found that the best option for myself was the regular pram that fits a toddler seat to the top of the pram...
Good luck on what you decide but I would shop around and ask at the baby stores what is more popular....
