i'd let her but give her limits. my parents still have them for me and they're glad i'm dating him. just meet him and judge him first.

I would let her date. Many girls date at 14 maybe just set some guidelines and rules for her. It's a perfectly acceptable age for her to start dating.

I think you should let her, I doubt she's going to have sex, I lost my virginity at the age of 17, (and it's not cause I'm ugly or something) whenever she goes out on dates give her a time limit. If she gets into a habit of ignoring the time limit then maybe re-think letting her date. My daughter is only a few months old so I still have a quite a while before it's an issue for me!

I totally disagree with anniekid, if your having sex that young then you have some horrible parents. I was not allowed to date until I was 16 and my mom was very protective of me; she never let me go anywhere unless there was adult supervision and she had the address and phone number of where I was going. It really bothered me at the time but now I am so thankful cause if she was not that strict with me I probably would have ended up pregnant with some loser's baby, but now I am married to the best husband anyone could ask for and I have a beutiful baby girl with him. I did lose my virginity when I was 17 though but once I got my drivers license my mom gave me more freedom especially since I worked a full time job and bought my own car she figured I had to grow up sometime lol but I love my mom for everything she has taught me. So my opinion is I think 14 is too young to date but I think she should be able to hang out in like a group date or something but no single dates just yet.
