I worry about my little girl TOO much. (1 viewing) (1) Guest
I worry about my little girl TOO much.
By twibaby#2 7 Months Ago
Calla is 8 days old and I feel i'm too overprotective. I can't have a bath/shower without her being in the carseat in the bathroom. I won't leave her sleeping in the bedroom, I have to be in the same room as her. I get really jumpy if anyone but me or Logan are holding her. I won't even leave her with Logan unattended.
I don't know what to do but i'm not getting any sleep because i'm worrying... HELP!!!

That is all quite normal for a mother who has lost a child so don't feel you are over reacting in any way but if you are concerned about it then I suggest speaking to a professional about it to help ease your mind even a little... Just remember tho that what happened to Lilly may not happen to Calla.....

Postpartum (or post-natal) depression is when your hormones get really out of whack after your baby is born and it causes you lots of stress. It can result in lots of crying for no reason, or the slightest things set you off. It's like PMS times 100. Another part of it is kinda like separation anxiety from your baby since you're used to having your baby inseparable from you 24 hours a day and part of your brain wants to keep that. Don't feel bad for feeling the way you do. Since you've lost a baby it's only natural to be protective of the one you have. My husband actually acted kinda like you are now when our first one was born. He actually took a chair out in the hall of the hospital while we were there and sat and watched Aubie in the nursery the entire time she wasn't in the room with us and about the only time I got to hold her was when I was feeding her. It's a natural feeling for a new parent. I hope you get things all figured out so you get to feeling better and actually sleeping.
