Walking and Talking ages? By MommyLove22 2 Years, 4 Months Ago My little girl is nearly 3 now and she'll be talking for 2 years then and walking for 1 and 1/2 years then too. Some of my friends told me that my little girl was really quick at learning to walk and talk and just wanted to ask when your kids started walking and talking

Re:Walking and Talking ages? By mommyfaerie 2 Years, 4 Months Ago I have 2 little girls right now. The oldest started crawling when she was 6 months old and walking when she was 7 months old and the youngest is now almost 11 months and just started taking a few steps at a time on her own in the past month or so, although she was crawling by 5 months old. My oldest started saying the common first words like "mama", "dada", "papa", and "baba" when she was around 6 months old, but my husband and I both swear we heard her say "thank you" after we changed her diaper one day when she was 4 months old. She'll be 3 in January and is speaking in complete sentences, sometimes in compound or complex sentences, and can be understood by most people about 90% of the time. Our youngest daughter has been saying the common first words for a couple months now, and is adding a few other words. Neither of them is any less normal than the other. Every child develops at a different rate, and although a child may excel quickly in one area another may not be quite as developed. Our doctors have told us that the average age for a child to start walking is between 11 and 14 months old, and that babies will start with the repetitive sound words around 7-8 months old. It sounds like your little girl is right on track.

Re:Walking and Talking ages? By MommyLove22 2 Years, 4 Months Ago Yeah I mean Aeryn started crawling at 6 months but couldn't get the hang of walking until she was at least a year old. She said 'Mama' at 5 months and talks fully now, everyone understands her.

Re:Walking and Talking ages? By AlyssaShayne 2 Years, 4 Months Ago Yea every child is different. My baby cousin Libby still wan't crawling at 8 months, and started walking a couple months after her first birthday. She's 1 1/2 years old now, and when it comes to talking, she says mom, daddy, go, no, Bob(Spongebob) etc. She isn't saying full sentences yet. She's really loud and yells random things.

Re:Walking and Talking ages? By Celianne 2 Years, 4 Months Ago My older brother attempted speach at three months. I didn't really start talking until I was like four (Erskine did it for me, lol). I'm not sure about walking, but according to my parents Erskine's been trouble since day one, lol.
