Getting engaged sounds romantic but the reality is that a marriage is hard work and should never be entered into by two people who are not mature enough to really commit. We have all been in love as teenagers but you will continue to grow, change, become someone else and so will she. A promise ring is a great idea, there is no need to be engaged for years and even getting married right out of high school is not the best idea. I am sure that the love you have for each other is very strong and your intentions are good. As someone in her thirties and married for years, I can tell you that there is a great deal of practical, non-romantic stuff that goes into a marriage and at your age, you are just not ready. Sorry, I'm sure that is not what you want to hear.

I think her parents wouldn't care too much, seeing as we live soooo far away... Her mom actually called me her son-in-law once... And she was not kidding either... She said, "There is no way Alyssa will take my son-in-law away from you." She was talking to her daughter about someone who liked me...

Most people think teens these days do not know true love, I for one know what true loves is not, therefore I know what true love is too... And I have found the girl of my dreams... I, also for one, am not like most guys these days... Most guys these days only care about one thing, sex... I am proud to be a virgin, although there have been times that I really wanted wanted to loose it, but I haven't....

I really don't care about looks, now don't get me wrong, My girlfriend is beautiful, but to me it's more of the personality then looks to me...

I Wish I'd Loved My Ex But Stupidly Enough I Said Yes For The Sake Of Our Children. Just Make Sure You Love Her And Thats All You Need.

My only problem is how far away we live from each other, but in the next few months to a year, I will get someone to drive me, or I will fly over to see her for about a week, then on the 4th or 5th day, if I have the money for a ring, I will propose ^_^
