Bottles/BSA
By mitch17 3 Months, 2 Weeks Ago
Hi!
I breastfed my first 2, and intend to so with the 3rd as well, but I would also like to bottlefeed, so that the rest of the family can feed the baby too.
Does anyone have any experience with the new BSA free bottles. I don't have much knowledge on the subject, nor do I know how much of the BSA truly leaches into the milk.
If anyone is knowledgable in this subject, would you please give me some advice and input?
Thank you!!

The only thing I have heard is that it is bad to heat the liquid in the plastic bottle. If you can warm up formula or milk in a glass bottle and then transfer it, it should be fine. Pretty much all you can buy these days are BPA free bottles so if you buy new, I wouldn't worry about it.

im not sure where you're from, but in canada bpa bottles have been banned from the shelves, and only bpa-free are sold. i sue the playtex nursers with silicone nipples, i like them because you can push all the air out before you feed the baby, and it comes with a breastmilk storage system and can adapt to pretty much any pump.

it is only a small amount that leaks into the milk, but its better safe than sorry, as they dont know exactly how much it takes to cause the problems that have been discovered.

i know that playtex nursers, born free and dr browns are all bpa free, the ones that are will say on the box.
