Has anyone ever tried Dr Bronners soap on a baby? I know they make soap called baby mild, I was just wondering if anyone had ever tried it.

I keep going back and forth about what I should use for soap on my baby (when it gets here) and I'm stuck between that or Burts Bees. The only thing is that burts bees actually has more chemicals in it than the other one, but the other one is 100% organic and vegan and its a hemp soap.

Anyways, just wondering.

Also is there any other laundry detergent besides dreft that you can use on babies?

i just use plain regular laundry soap, no dyes, perfumes or scents. i am allergic to dreft and ivory snow, and those are the only baby soaps i know of. also, if you use liquid rather than detergent it is good, as the particles in the detergent dont always come out and they can make baby itchy and uncomfortable.

Well I'm glad to hear I'm not the only one allergic to dreft and ivory (along with just about all other types of soap)

I was just wondering because everybody has told me that you have to use dreft otherwise the baby's skin will break out from their clothes, and then I was just wondering about the regular bathing soap, since I really don't like the baby soaps/shampoos that have a ton of chemicals in them, seeing as everything can be absorbed through the skin.

I know that All makes a detergent for babies as well as a sensative skin detergent that is unscented
For soaps i know Aveeno is really nice and they have a line for babies

Let me tell you. i found out after having my son that i am allergic to almost all baby products that aren't natural.(most baby products have preservatives that are not good ie: quaternium 10, DMDM Hydantoin, and many more) ANything made by Johnson and Johnson BLISTERS my hands!!! I love Burts Bees and use it now mostly also "Method" makes a baby wash that is made of natural ingrediants also and is nice. As for laundry i use All free and Clear. Love it. Its not super expensive and doesn't have any harsh ingrediants. good luck. i hope this helps!!
