Re:What Time Do Your Children Go To Bed? (1 viewing) (1) Guest
Re:What Time Do Your Children Go To Bed? By happytohelp 1 Month, 3 Weeks Ago I quite Agree with Daises.
Bed time is important. And i get to spend as much time with my children because im of on maternity leave. My oldest comes home from school at 2 and i have the rest of the day with him and then his father comes home at 4 and takes him out to do his sports. They usually fall asleep on the sofa next to me and my husband. My youngest two sleep during the day tyran(now 6 months, no longer 5 months) more than dylan(aged 2), dylan is very active and loves to colour and play with his little brother. I think the two above me ^^ have got a point, i don't like to dicipline my children or anything they don't deserve. I am going to try different the different techniques that were offered and i will get back to you. Thank you all.x

Re:What Time Do Your Children Go To Bed? By puck 1 Month, 1 Week Ago i think bedtime works for some, not so well for others. my daughter gave up naps at 17 months, so i needed to implement a bedtime. even now at nearly 4, she is totally put off, difficult and in a rotten mood the next day if shes not in bed on time. we have playgroup or preschool at 8:45 am, so she needs to go to sleep at a decent hour. we do miss out on occasion just to sleep in or bum around, and sometimes she gets to stay up for a movie &popcorn, but in general i feel bedtime is vital to our lifestyle.

Re:What Time Do Your Children Go To Bed? By Seaason 1 Month, 1 Week Ago i am stunned by the amount of parent who do not enforce bed time...
i wont go into all the reasons i disagree with that logic, but the simplest reason is that children need routine, and they need sufficient rest((and a healthy diet)) to grow properly & its also about teaching ur kids that they need to follow simple rules, if they dont start when they are young, its gonna be hard when they are teenagers... i am pregnant with No.4 and this is our routine KAIN 8 in bed at 8 asleep by 8:30 after dinner bath and some TV ZEBULAN 5 so tired after a big day at school that he passes out cold by 6:30-7pm after dinner and bath ASHKA 3 shes a little more difficult to get off to bed, but atelt we have managed to get her off to bed by 7:30 ish but sleep is longer in comng to her, but she still has to go to bed regardless.. they usually wake around 6 am and that works well for us as it means we dont need to rush around all stressed in the mornings getting ready for school etc.. call me what u will, but even with all my rules about eating proper and bedtimes and such, they are still happy well adjusted smart kids.. Re:What Time Do Your Children Go To Bed? By Melanie0205 1 Month, 1 Week Ago Danny is 3, and I like to have him in bed between 8 and 9. Here's our routine from after dinner, which is at about 6.
Play in the backyard/go on a walk - 6-7 Bath time, pjs, story - 7-7:30 7:30 - time with mommy & daddy to talk or whatever 8 - bedtime! Sometimes we have later nights, so he'll be in bed at 9. We try to keep this routine, because Danny likes to get up when we do, around 6 A.M. If he's in bed by 8, he isn't cranky at all and he helps me do work around the house and he plays with his dog. Having a routine is really important; also, Danny knows when it's bedtime and that's when he starts getting tired. When the girls are born, their bedtime will be 8 as soon as they are old enough.
