Did you know the name: Pailin - is a female name, which means "Bitter" - I imagine she is having some of those feelings today, the day after Obama made Presidency!

My friend Danielle is often called Daniel and my daughter Andrea is mistakenly called Ondraya and Ondrea. My name Renee was spelled Ranee when I was a child and my teachers and others would pronounce it Raynee, now as an adult I had the spelling changed to Rene'e.

I remember in school on the first day or when there was subs i was always called (Kate-lyna), but relly my name is pronounced
(Cat-uh-lee-nuh) to this day i have to correct nurses and doctors.
I find it easier to just put katee but people still get it wrong.
My daughter's name is Marloh and people are constantly calling her Marla, it gets really annoying.

Blimey, good to know it's not only me! I have a very unusual 1st name a quite normal middle name but it's spelt differently to usual and my surnames just as bad. I'd rather not say my name on here but i wouldn't mind saying in a pm.
