What do you think about homeschooling your child?

Hmm...persoanlly i think it all depends on the education the child will be having and how qualified or good the teacher is a t providing this. Not really too sure..

It is certainly not something I would ever consider for my kids. I wouldnt have the patience to be their teacher in that manner. I commend those that do it and do it well. But I also think going to school is important and teaches our children how to cope in the world socially etc. not just academically. I also recognise that not all kids fit into the school system and that homeschooling is a better option for some kids. I think if the child is getting a well rounded education and plenty of social interaction, homeschooling is great. And as long as they are happy to be homeschooled.

i think it would take an awful lot of patience, and im not sure if i could do it myself. however, with the increasing class sizes and such, if any of my children require more attention, or stimulation than the school can give, i would consider it as an alternative.

i started home schooling this year and i think that it is alot better than the schools here. i still get to see my friends on weekends and after school and stuff. my mum is a qualified teacher but cant work because she has MS so she decided to homeschool me and my sisters. the high schools are really bad in my area and my lil sis hated school and none of her friends were there. i think its a good option but if you do it you need to make sure that the kids actually do have extra curricular activities to make friends and stuff. i get a lot of people ask me questions about it and the main thing they ask is if i have any freinds, and i most definatly do, school isnt the only place kids make friends.
