I think Kyle or Chad!

I actually took the time to briefly research the meaning and origin of all four first names, which just confirmed my original choice all the more.

Hands down, Cameron is the winning name-- it sounds the best, it has the most favorable overall history and connotations, and I believe it is going to help to bring forth a child with qualities such as wisdom, kindness, strength yet humility, and courage. Just my sense-- I love names and their meanings and am always thinking about my favorite name combinations even though I don't have any children yet!! I also believe names are very important and should be more than a "trend" or necessarily chosen by "what other people think"-- you'll know in your heart which name will suit your child at the right time.

Most or all of your names have Gealic origins. Their meanings may seem strange, but it is their history and/or "alternate meanings" that matter. I read that Cameron's alternate meaning may be "Godly", I think it was, and don't be deterred by its literal meaning of "crooked nose"-- some of the best people have crooked noses, including me and my Irish side's forebears!

I do not like the name Chad and have never known a Chad I like; Lane is nondescript and somewhat feminine in sound; Kyle is too common and boring too me and doesn't have a significant meaning either. I love Cameron and hope you will too!!

I like Cameron also. It flows off of the tongue nicely and isn't a name that you hear everywhere you go.

I agree. Cameron Dobbin sounds great.

I think Lane could cross over to a girls name. Kyle and Chad are pretty popular, but sound strong and athletic. Cameron sounds sensitive and smart.
