Public/Private Schooling (1 viewing) (1) Guest
Re:Public/Private Schooling By norau 2 Years, 7 Months Ago i really think it all depends on the area where you live. if the public schools there are rated good, then i would send them there. if there are no good public schools in your area, then private school is much more challenging. my kids started off at private schools until i tried them at the public school in another district from mine and noticed that i liked the curriculum and that they were still being challenged. i think it all depends on the public schools and the teachers in the area. When my kids were at the private school, it really depended on the teacher they had.

Re:Public/Private Schooling By Sayumee 2 Years, 7 Months Ago QUOTE: I agree. I've been going to public school my whole life and I love it. I feel that I have learned so much more about accepting others and their differences compared to private school kids. I am high honrs student with staright A's and I feel that my public school is just as challenging as private school would be. But I do go to one of the best public schools in NY. I think it really depends on the area. My cousin goes to public school in another state and it's not a very good school. For your children, I would say private school is best because they are used to one-on-one attention already and they will continue to get that in a private school, more than they would a public school.

Re:Public/Private Schooling By monkeys1315 2 Years, 7 Months Ago you've probably never heard of them but i went to the Waldorf school on Whidbey island where i live but they have them everywhere and your kids sound just like the kind of students they accept there, they really focus on the arts and languages and that sort of thing, they are pretty expensive but they are really one of the best schools around!!!

Re:Public/Private Schooling By Scheever 2 Years, 7 Months Ago Where I am from the public schools give more of an options to learn different things. I liked it b/c I was able to take Russian and Japanese in high school along with yearbook, newspaper and even a class were we made weekly TV productions that were aired on public asses TV. I come from a small town (13,000 people) the high school has about 1,200 students from my town and other farming towns. When it comes time for my kids to start school I know we will pick public school because we know that it is a good school with lots of options.

Re:Public/Private Schooling By Jaimo 2 Years, 7 Months Ago i would look at what is best for your children as they may adapt differently to the situations, in my family there are 5 children and we all went to different schools my eldest brother went to a private co-ed school, whilst my second eldest went to a public school on a sports scholarship because he was in the special sports program for elite athletes he graduated as dux of the school (had the highest TER or GPA for his subjects at the end of the year). my sister did the first two years in a public school cause she wanted to go with her friends before transfering to a co-ed private school whilst my twin and i both went to single sex private schools he was at the all boys school and i went to that schools sister school which was all girls. i would suggest looking into what would best suit your children.

Re:Public/Private Schooling By Celianne 2 Years, 7 Months Ago Private. The kids won't like it as much, but if they've never been to public school they won't miss out. Better education at a private school.
I would rather be in public school, but I must grudgingly admit that private schools are better.
