My boyfriend proposed to me a while ago and I want you guys to help me. I need to know what stores I should buy my wedding dress at and should I or should I not wear make-up.

I'm not planning on wearing too much makeup at my wedding. I don't know about dresses (I'm 14). But for the makeup, whatever you do don't cake it on. Blush and lipstick.

Congrats!! I got my dress at David's Bridal....do not let them talk you into buying all the extra stuff like tieras, veils, shoes etc...you can get those at other stores for much cheaper. You can also try 2nd hand stores for cheaper gowns

I wore a little counselor, eye shadow, and mascara. Not a lot, just enough to look good in pictures

I think if your boyfriend prefers no makeup you should do it. Your wedding day is supposed to be about you and your husband.

As for wedding dresses,it depends where you live. I watch that tlc show about Kleinfeld. I heard its amazing but it is in NYC.

@ Emily_G I have checked out David's Bridal online. They have some pretty dresses. I don't exactly get what you meant by counselor. You mean you went by a make-up counselor?


@ Sayumee I thoroughly agree with you about wearing no make-up. And I am now checking out Kleinfield and they do have some amazing stuff. My only problem is that if I could afford it. Getting it would not be a problem since I am living in the US.
