I'm in the midst of planning my wedding aswell and haven't even started on looking for a dress. What is your date? You don't want to buy your dress too soon because no matter what your weight will fluxuate a bit right so I'd say get your dress about 6 months before your wedding then you don't have much of a flux period. That's my plan anyway. I want to wait anyway so I can have a chance to loose some weight before the wedding (I'm a bit of a heavier girl). There are all kinds of different places to look for dresses though. Google image wedding gowns/dresses and you can see all kinds of different styles and designers.

@ KristinW mine is in April . And yes I am doing that as well but I am going to tell them that my wedding is 2 weeks before it actually is so that I would get my dress on time. Well I am actually really skinny for someone my age and I am not anorexic and not to mention that I eat a lot (lol I love food who doesn't!) .

@ Emily_G lol I was like @ counselor. But seriously I do not want to go by a make-up artist and have to pay them a ton of money just to do my make-up. I want something simple yet sophisticated. And the same goes for my dress. I want something that is white, strapless and poofy .

I'm so jealous I wish I was skinny!! My wedding is July 10 2010. I'm not even going to start looking til November. To be honest I don't even want to wear a dress. I have to be the only person in the world who doesn't want to wear a dress to her wedding. LOL Truth be told I'd rather wear cut off shorts and a white tank top. LOL BUT my hubby wants me to wear a dress and have a somewhat traditonal wedding. I hate wedding planning!

My wedding is in 2012 since we are waiting until I finish schooling (but he would not be done with schooling). But I just want to know where I should buy my dress because I like planning ahead and I am really excited . Lol how many people do you intend on inviting? At first I did not want to have a traditional wedding but when I saw how pretty the white wedding dresses looked I changed my mind . Wedding planning can get frustrating at times though so I agree with you there.

I'm the same... My man and I aren't exactly married just yet but we tell everyone we are LOL We are waiting til Willow is walking cos he wants her to be a part of the wedding so we plan on doing it at christmas time next year and I am just going to a surf shop and buying a dress from there and prolly get married on the beach barefoot cos I hate shoes too... I'm not a very traditional person and as for makeup I will wear a little but not much as I HATE the feel of it on my skin...
