Oh and also in most cases the teen will go behind the parents back if they say no; in which I think that it would be better if you say yes and keep the communication open..

This has got to be the strangest post I've ever read...

As a fourteen year old, I think you should either: let her date, or, give her more freedom until she's fifteen. unless it's like a year away. Give her a couple months with more freedom, see how it works out, and then let her date.

To answer your question, I think it is your choice. It depends on the maturity of your daughter and the maturity of her boyfriends/guys she goes on dates with.

You could also say yes to group dates and no to single dates.
