My son has yet to be born but I'm pretty sure that the first birthday will be a small event with family. I know that he won't remember it so I'm not too worried about it.

For Morgann's 1st birthday we did a jungle animal theme, she had an elephant birthday cake and we decorated the house like a jungle. We just had family over but with my small house we were bursting at he seams.

For her second birthday we did a Mickey Mouse them and for her third we are going to be bumble bees.

For Keeva's cake we're going to do a really simple huge '1' cut out of chocolate sponge with mint green icing and pebbles covering the entire thing. She's not old enough to decipher a theme out of her yet so there will just be lots of balloons with '1' on them. Lots of finger food and all of her little cousins and family will attend. We won't be spending lots of money, it'll be simple and cheap!!
