Re:The Duggers are doing it again By Jezebelle 1 Year, 11 Months Ago I disagree. It's huge strain on our environmental resources. With all of the knowledge that we have today, I think it is very selfish and ignorant to have that many children. Our grandparents didn't know then what we know today. People should be adjusting to our modern day situation.

Re:The Duggers are doing it again By madster 1 Year, 11 Months Ago I agree with Jezebelle. Having children is an amazing blessing and joy but i think theres a point where you have to stop. the earth is getting more populated each year and putting even more strain on the environment. The polution is going up and the demand for food and water. Which is not good for them or the future.
i m not saying having children is bad for the earth but i m putting out there that having that many children is not a good idea.

Re:The Duggers are doing it again By Alisamber 1 Year, 11 Months Ago Not to offend (and please don't come back saying I'm stupid, because I'm not), but I think the whole environmental buzz is somewhat exaggerated and/or false. I whole heartedly believe we should take care of the Earth. We are not better than the Earth and we shouldn't abuse it or show disrespect. But I don't think how many children I or anyone else has has much to do with that. If a family can support those children and teach them how to be "good people" and responsible and so forth, more power to them. It all equals out in the end. Look at how many people can't have children at all. It seems like you're saying that we should greatly decrease how many children are born so there's more for us longer, which makes sense, but, for how much longer? It's all going to end one day anyway. Again, if each individual and each family is responsible, they have the right to decide these things, not their neighbors, or governments, or whoever else.

Re:The Duggers are doing it again By Jezebelle 1 Year, 11 Months Ago The problem with that is 'if'. 'If' everyone is responsible. That's a lot of weight to put on the word 'if'.
I know how much our garbage increased with having one child, let alone 19. We recycle everything we can and we compost. Our garbage has doubled what it was before we had one child. I stand by my opinion. Taking care of Mother Earth is a priority, no matter if you believe the hype, the issues are still there.
