Usually the ultrasound is most accurate around 20 weeks or later, but you can find out anytime after 14 weeks. I think I was around 18 weeks when we found out.
They can also tell more accurately if they do an amnioscentisis and check the DNA to see if it's a boy or girl. I don't suggest doing that though unless there's other reasons you need to do it. They stick a big needle in your abdomen to pull out some of the amniotic fluid surrounding your baby so they can check the DNA for abnormalities like down syndrome.

u normally have an ultrasound at 18 weeks and they tell you then. thats the full screening one. have you booked a 12 week ultrasound??

No I'm Not really sure what i have to do lol, I have had 2 scans, One was way to early I dont even Know why the doctor said to get it done, Then i got another scan when I was 5weeks5Days, but other then that I havent had another scan. I'll be goin to my first antenatal appointment next week. Do i go to the doctor to get a referral for another Scan?

I was 4 1/2 months pregnant when i found out I am having a girl. Since then I had a few more ultrasounds and all those times they have said it was a Girl. So really you've got 4 weeks till you can find out. Best of luck to you. Cant wait to hear what you are having.
