If the rest of your family has the middle name Esme, it shouldn't be a problem. If you just picked it with no reason, then people would assume Twilight. If they ask, just say, 'No, it's been a tradition in our family for a long time.' And they should shut up about it. And if anybody gives you crap, I can give you an anti-Twilight rant to shoot at them.

I didn't notice the allergy medication thing, but I don't think it's that big of a deal. I mean, really, who would think, 'Oh, she named her daughter after an allergy medication. That makes much sense, I LOVE that medication too! Of course!' Yeah, I doubt anybody will care that much, and medication brands don't last forever, anyway. It also is an actual name, and therefore nobody should give you too much (or any) crap about it.
Alegra Esme Skye, I think, is a beautiful name.
