By Ashleigh 4 Months, 2 Weeks Ago I don't know if you remember me. I'm 18 and found out last month I was pregnant. I just recently went in again to the doctor and found out I'm having twins! I'm freaked out but a little overwhelmed. I wanted to go to college but now all that is going down the drain. I might take a year off and then go. I want to be a nurse so it's gonna be hard. Anyway twins run in my family genes and I don't know what to do? Please help!!!!

Re:Twins By iluvandy 4 Months, 2 Weeks Ago WOw! Congrats on the twins! I would want to have twins, I think that would be so cool, but you are gonna have your hands full. I hope you have a lot of help. Yes I remember you from last time. Did you have any idea that it would be twins? Yea, you might want to hold off on school for a while because it's really hard going to school and having kids. I'm going for nursing next month. What kind of nurse do u want to be?

Re:Twins By CKA 4 Months, 2 Weeks Ago That's okay... I am 37 and also due to have twins, and was also planning on going to nursing school this fall and I was also freaked out when I found out I was having twins. I also have 3 other kids, ages 14, 11 and my youngest will be only 18 months old when the twins get here. All my children were planned except this last pregnancy, so I think that is what threw me for a loop. I never planned on having 5 KIDS, but like my mother told me "many of the best people were never supposed to be"... she was referring to me because I was her 'later-in-life' accident. I know you are young, but you can still do all the things you want to do w/your life. You have lots more years to accomplish it than I do, and I still plan on going to school, but not until the twins are at least a year old. Don't feel guilty about the choices you make as long as they are healthy for you and your children. If you choose adoption, to keep them and still go to school and put them in daycare, or if you decide to keep them and postpone school... as long as you love them and yourself, things will work out. Hang in there. It took me a while to get used to the idea, but now I am excited. Life dishes out it's surprises, and sometimes it's the ones that feel terrible at the time, that turn out the best. I hope you have a good support system.

Re:Twins By silversky32 4 Months, 2 Weeks Ago I just graduated with a BA in English, and I plan on becoming a special education teacher. I have 3 kids ( I was a single mom through most of it) and it took me 3 1/2 years and I graduated with a 3.45 GPA. I Started when my youngest was 5 and took 15 to 18 units while I worked. It was crazy and busy and so hard sometimes. I had a lot of help from my parents and my friends, and my new hubby. However, I did it and I have to say walking in that cap and gown was one of the greatest moments of my life. I know you can do it too, so don't give up, just consider everything postponed for a bit. Most Colleges have excellent daycare programs for infants and preschoolers but they fill up fast so make sure you get on the list asap. I tell everyone I did it, just backwards
