Spare the rod, spoil the child. I think it's ok to spank... not beat... spank. My grandmother always said, a belt is used to hold pants up and a keen little switch on the behind gets the point across.

And another thing... They have taken paddling out of school systems and then everyone wants to gripe bc of how bad the systems are these days. We didn't act like kids do these days. I'm only 23 and my 8th grade cousin came home talking about a girl who had an abortion in her class. When I was in 8th grade I knew nothing about that.... Or just like the word of the week in my 2nd grade class was "hoe" as using a hoe to break dirt up, and the whole class started laughing saying the other meaning. It really is scary to see how much kids know these days at such a young age.

AshleyR, that's one of the main reasons why kids act the way they do these days...because spanking has been taken away. And because prayer has been taken out of the schools, too.
Also, there are many other verses in the Bible that tell us to spank our children; not beat, but spank. There's a difference.

I know that's what I said kids need to be spanked.... I'm a 2nd grade teacher and the way kids act and treat adults and other students these days... I had a fellow teacher get on to a student and the little girl told the teacher she couldn't do anything to her bc her mother would sue her... Where are kids getting this from?
